Asin was born in Cochin, Kerala, India in Malayalam family, her father was a businessman name is Joseph, and mom, is a name Dr. Seline. She studied at Naval Public School in Cochin and completed her Matriculation from there, after that she took admission in St. Theresa's Higher Secondary School for completing her Higher Secondary School Certificate, and she completed her degree from St. Theresa's College in the B.A. Arts. After obtaining a Degree in B.A. English Literature, she joined her dad to participate in his business and during this she also taking part in modeling. she has done modeling for Colgate Toothpaste, and Fairever Cream, BPL Mobile.
During her modeling she was notice by dirctor Sathyan Antikad and she made her debut in Narendaran Makan a Malyali film opposit Kunjachacko Boban and it was a big hit movie and very successfullin south India in 2001. After geven a successful movie,she noticed inTamil and Telgu also and got many offers. She was appear in Telugu movies Nanna O Tamila Ammayi opposite Ravi Teja and the film was successfully hited at the boxoffice, It was her first debut in Telugu film industry. After some times later she made her Tamil debute in M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi and the film was a blockbuster movie and hited huge financial success, and she was earned critical acclaim for critics and for her performance she was nominated for Filmafare award for best actress debut in tamil. After that Asin get famouse and she worked almost all top actors such as Vijay, Nagarjuna, Ajith, Surya, Vikram Ravi Teja, Pawan Kalyan, Arjun and Kamla Hasan In Dashavtaram.
She mad her acting debut in Bollywoo fom Dashavtaram it was realeases in many language and she was stared opposite to Kamla Hasan who is also a superstar in south cinema as well as bollywood cinema. The film was a big budget movie and was a superhit on the boxoffice and commercialy it was a biggest hit of the year and nominated for many awards. Her next film was Gajini opposite Amir Khan and it was remake of south indian film Gajini and the film was the biggst hit and collected more the Rs.100 crore at the boxoffice. After that she acted in London Dreams, Ready, Khiladi 786, all is well.
