Preity Zinta is one of the beautifull actress in Indian film Industry. She has appeared mostly in Hindi films of Bollywood, and she also did some Telugu, Punjabi Films.

Preity Zinta was born in Rohru in Shimla district, her father Durganand zinta was a army officer and he was died in accident when she was 13years old her mothe was also involve in this accident but luckily she was only injured.  After graduating with a degree in criminal psychology,Zinta starts modelling and she did an advertisement for Liril soap. After that Zinta made her acting debut in Dil Se with Shahrukh Khan in 1998 followed by a role in Soldier with Boby Deol the same year for her performances in this film she earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. After this Zinta becomes well stablish and most demanding actress in the bollywood industry and she play a veriety of charectors in various films.


Prity Zinta received the Filmfare Award for Best Actress in 2003 for her performance in the romantic drama Kal Ho Naa Ho with Saif ali khan and Shahrukh Khan and after that she play the lead female role in Koi... Mil Gaya (2003) with Hritik Roshan, and the film was her biggest commercial success,  and the next year she did romantic love film Veer-Zaara (2004) with Shahrukh Khan, for her performance she earned her critical acclaim.After that She did Salaam Namaste with Saif Ali khan (2005) and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006) with shahrukh khan and Abhishek Bachchan, both film was a superhit at the box office and was very commercial hits in overseas markets. Her first international film role was in the Canadian film Heaven on Earth, for which she was awarded the Silver Hugo Award for Best Actress at the 2008 Chicago International Film Festival.


She is the owner of the Indian Premier League cricket team Kings XI Punjab. She is known in the Indian media for publicly speaking her mind and openly expressing her opinions, and consequently has sparked the occasional controversy.
