Biography

Shradha kapoor is a beautifull and cute actress in Indian film industry. She was born and raised 

in Mumbai her father Shakti Kapoor and mother Shivangi Kapoor, her elder brother Siddhanth 

Kapoor, her two aunts Padmini Kolhapure and Tejaswini Kolhapure are actors in films.

She did her schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School and then enrolled in the American School of 

Bombay. Shelove to played soccer and handball competitively as she believed these games were 

challenging. Later, she went to Boston University, Ambika Hinduja, who cast her for a role inTeen 

Patti.It was her first bollywood debut film. Shradha Kapoor was trained as a singer since her 

childhood because her grand father and mother was a classical singer and later in 2014 she sing a 

song in Ek villain romantic track Galliyan, which was a biggest hit on the box office

Shradha Kapoor made her acting debut in the 2010 drama Teen Patti alongside Amitabh 

Bachchan and R. Madhavan. She played the role of a college girl in this film but her performance 

was better received but the film failed to do well at the box-office.

After that she signed with Yash Raj Films and featured teen comedy Luv Ka The End with Taaha 

Shah. The film was a commercially hit at the box office and  she gained positive review for her 

performance in this film. In this film she played the lead role of a teenage student who plots against 

her boyfriend after he cheats on her. The film underperformed at the box office and received mixed 

reviews from critics. Shradha Kapoor received the Stardust Searchlight Award for Best Actress. 

After that she was subsequently offered the lead female role in Aurangzeb as a part of her deal 

withYash Raj Films. However, she signed on to Vishesh Films' Aashiqui 2 instead, thereby 

cancellingthe contract with Yash Raj Films.

Shradha found her breakthrough role in Mohit Suri's romantic musical drama Aashiqui 2, the sequel 

to the 1990 film Aashiqui. She was cast as Aarohi Keshav Shirke, a small-town bar singer who 

becomes a successful playback artist with the help of a popular male singer played by Aditya Roy 

Kapur. The film was a major box office success with a global revenue of ₹1.09 billion and she 

received several nominations in the Best Actress category, such as one of the Filmfare Awards. That 

year, she also appeared in a guest appearance for the romantic comedy Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, 

playing the fiancée of Imran Khan's character.

After her biggest success she offered Ek Villain and reunited with Mohit Suri and in this movie she 

also sing a song Galliyan. The film was a love story and in this film Sidharth Malhotra play a 

charector of hardened criminal, whose terminally ill wife played by Kapoor is brutally murdered by a 

serial killer. The film eventually emerged as a major commercial success with domestic revenues of 

over ₹1 billion (US$15 million). Her second release that year was Vishal Bhardwaj's critically 

acclaimed drama Haider with Shahid Kapoor It is based on William Shakespeare's Hamlet set during 

the Kashmir conflict of 1995. She played the Ophelia character, a journalist named Arshia, 

opposite Shahid Kapoor and Tabu. Also that year, Kapoor performed an item number in the Karan 

Johar-produced thriller Ungli with Imran Hashmi.

Afte her success in Ashiqi2, Ek villain and Haider In 2015, Shradha starred in a sequel to the dance 

film ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, entitled ABCD 2, opposite Varun Dhawan which was Produced 

by Walt Disney Pictures, the film was a biggest hit around the world and earned over ₹1 billion 

worldwide. For her performance she gain positive review and currently she is work on her next 

upcoming action drama film Baaghi opposite Tiger Shroff and also filming alongside Farhan 

Akhtar, Purab Kohli and Arjun Rampalfor a sequel to Rockon, sequal of Rock On 2, in which she 

plays a singer. In addition, she has signed on to star opposite Arjun Kapoorin Half Girlfriend, a film 

adaptation of the novel of the same name by Chetan Bhagat, which will mark her third collaboration 

with director Mohit Suri. She has also committed to reteam with Aditya Roy Kapur in a Hindi 

language remake of Mani Ratnam's Tamil romantic dramaO Kadhal Kanmani, to be directed 

by Shaad Ali and produced by Karan Johar.
